Four studio portraits: a person in a magenta gown holding a violin, a person in a black and green graduation gown, a person in a blue shirt, and a bare-chested person in dark trousers beside a stool.

FAQ

How should I prepare my outfits?

Solid colors, clean lines and simple patterns photograph well. Bring 2–3 outfit options if you’d like; we’ll help you choose on camera. Avoid busy prints, logos and trends unless they are part of the image you want to show.

Can we photograph at another location?

Yes. On-location headshots are arranged through Studio Soo, with a separate quote based on travel and setup. Tell us about your location and plans before booking; the $240 online appointment is for our Northbrook studio.

How much time should I allow?

Allow about 30 minutes at the studio, including photo review and selection. The booking calendar reserves 20 minutes for photography. An on-location visit may take longer because of setup.

Is hair or makeup included?

Hair and makeup are not included. Our Northbrook studio has a makeup station and a private changing room. If you would like a referral for a natural, camera-ready look, ask us before your session.

Can I order printed photographs?

Yes. Your session includes a high-resolution digital file; prints are purchased separately. You can see print samples at the studio and ask about an order during your visit or after receiving your finished image.

When will my finished file arrive?

Choose your image during the session. We retouch it and email the high-resolution file within three business days. The file is 3,600 × 2,400 pixels at 300 dpi. If your deadline is sooner, ask before booking so we can confirm whether it is possible.

Can I choose more than one finished image?

Yes. Additional professionally edited files are $190 each. You can choose them during your visit or contact us afterward about additional selections.

Can the photograph meet an application or publication requirement?

Send the required dimensions, where the image will appear and your deadline before the session so we can plan the framing and final output.
